I have always had a passion for photography taking my city and guilds photography 25 years ago.
Photography has run in the family with my father and brother both keen photographers and we set up a 'lightroom' in the loft at home to develop our film images (them are the days before digital!)
About 15 years ago my best friend Debbie invited me to her son and daughters christening and I decided to take photographs of the event and make an album up for a christening present. Seeing her delight when I presented her with the album has never left me. A couple of years later she asked if I would take her wedding photographs. I was only too pleased to do this. All I can say was I loved every minute of it. I knew straight away this is what I wanted to do.
I shadowed and worked with a professional photographer for a couple of years gaining invaluable experience before setting up my own photography company.
A good friend of mine who is also a photographer introduced me to the world of baby photography, something I had not thought about doing. We set out and asked if anyone would let me practice photographing their baby, I absolutely loved it, never looked back. I decided to submit a portfolio of images to the Cherubs baby photographers and was delighted to pass the assessment and become one of their Cherub baby photographers and will be taking over from Andrew Hall Photography from January 2015 - very excited :)
