Hi I'm Selina Walton LMPA, qualified and approved Master Photographer.
I grew up around a house full of pets and showed and breed dogs for many years. Even qualified several times and showed at Crufts.
I find it really sad that we don’t have many family photos (including the pets!) There are several of myself and my brothers but I really wished we had some with the whole family as well.
It was only natural being animal mad that I left school and trained to be a veterinary nurse. I worked at veterinary practices over on the Fylde coast where I was brought up before moving over to Clitheroe to be a practice manager of a veterinary practice.
I never really saw photography as a career only a hobby, as a child I loved film cameras; I loved experimenting with them and even had a dark room in the loft to process my own images (them were the days of film! Showing my age now…..) To see what I captured, it’s a feeling I could never get bored of.
After moving to Clitheroe I worked and lived on a dairy farm but as a hobby attended lots of photography courses.
Recently I traveled down to Birmingham where I sat and passed my Masters Photography Qualification. I was so pleased to achieve this high award with my photography.
I approach every shoot with passion in my heart, loving every moment of it, and I will always go that extra mile to make your day a truly enjoyable experience. I am a fully insured & professional photographer. I have my own home studio where I take lots of babies, families (including pets as these are part of the family!) I am told frequently by my clients that they can see how much I enjoy my work.
Outside of the studio I love to take horses at various stables around Lancashire as well as frequently taking wedding s around Lancashire and Manchester.
I have a lovely sitting area where you can relax and do any baby feeds / changes and toilet facilities.
I live in Clitheroe, Lancashire with my husband and bonker’s cocker spaniel Henry!
Apart from photography I love to train Henry and compete in ‘heel work to music’ competitions. I try to keep fit by road running and cross country running in a couple of local running clubs, sometimes with Henry who keeps me company on runs.......... when I can keep up with him!
I live in a small town of Clitheroe and close to the centre which is situated in the Ribble Valley where there are lots of shops and cafes.
I also know how awful it can be to be in front of the camera (honest, I hate being in front!) I can make you feel at ease with posing you.
There are frequent buses and trains and only a short walk from these to my studio but I also have free parking right outside the studio if you are travelling by car.
I always take on board the client’s vision and requirements to produce final images that will surpass your expectations. I’m simply waiting to capture your family portraits!
This is a photo of my beautiful dog Henry !
